Villa
St. Joseph Receives
National Accreditation for "Highest Quality" of
Care
Villa
St. Joseph has been honored by an international accrediting
commission as part of its collaboration with Presbyterian
SeniorCare Aging Services Network.
Villa
St. Joseph is a member of the Aging Services Network, which
has undergone a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated
to a team of surveyors during on-site visits that its care,
programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable
and accountable.
This
accreditation, the highest level of its kind, has been granted
to the Aging Services Network for a five-year term through
2011. This distinction marks the first accreditation of an
aging services network by CARF-CCAC in the state of Pennsylvania
and the third in the United States.
"This
achievement truly reflects the high standards of care and
quality services that Presbyterian SeniorCare provides through
its Aging Services Network. The Villa is honored to be part
of this network," says Mary Murray, Executive Director
of Villa St. Joseph.
The
Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)
and the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CCAC) merged
in 2003. The commission establishes standards to help organizations
measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
