Mount Gallitzin Academy emphasizes each student's individual progress in a curriculum that integrates religious instruction, value formation and faith development into the academic education of the students. Our staff makes a conscious effort to challenge students to go beyond mastery of basic skills, to function as inquirers and problem solvers.

The Academy educates students in an age of transformation — one that is experiencing more multicultural diversity, technological complexity, and heightened Catholic identity. Our learning environment promotes and encourages the development of personal and social justice while fostering the dignity of the human persons.

Some Highlights:

  • The Computer Lab in the Media Center is equipped with 29 Pentium IV computers, which are connected to the Internet by a high-speed line, making it possible to provide students in K-8th levels with an integrated technology curriculum.
  • A wide range of music lessons and opportunities for student performance are offered. The Fine Arts Program, a vital component to the learning process, encourages students to develop skills in creative expression.
  • The Extended Day Program offers an informal, relaxing and enriching time for students after their busy school day. Activities are age-appropriate. Students are supervised by two adults.
  • All students receive instruction in Spanish and upper grade levels have the opportunity to learn Latin in an elective class.
