Earth Tones ministry reflects our reverence for Earth by encouraging an understanding and awareness of God and nature. Volunteers help us continue our community gardens, chickens and apiary operations, which supply produce, eggs and honey to food banks to help reduce food insecurity among our neighbors.
We appreciate your contribution to help us maintain our contemplative space, whether it’s for an hour or for the entire day! Tasks may include but are not limited to: weeding, gardening, labyrinth maintenance, grapevine pruning, statue painting, wood chopping and weed whacking.
Please RSVP to Luke Badaczewski at lbadaczewski@stjoseph-baden.org or 724-869-6550 at least one week before each Work Day and let us know if you will be staying for lunch, which is provided. Email reminders will be sent 2 weeks prior to each work day. Weather related cancellations will be announced the Friday before each work day.

Join us for a day filled with fun, faith and friendship!
The Auxiliary is celebrating a 57-year tradition of bringing together family and friends who support the Sisters of St. Joseph and their ministries in health care, education, social services and spiritual development. The day begins with a bake sale and an opportunity to take a chance on one of the many beautiful baskets and prizes. Door prizes for every table and additional raffles add to the excitement.
To highlight our theme of Weaving Threads of Peace and Justice, Sister Rita Murillo, Assistant Public Defender in the Allegheny County Juvenile Division, will reflect on her ministry working with children in the justice system.
Gather your friends and come support the Sisters and their work! Register online.
Sponsorships and advertising opportunities are available. For information or questions about the event, contact Christina Thornburg at 724.869.6574 or cthornburg@stjoseph-baden.org.
