This time of prayer is a two-hour interactive session introducing Ignatian Spirituality, with an overview of the Spiritual Exercises. Sister Catherine will lead participants through prayer and meditation with time for reflection and sharing. Register online.

If you enjoy this introductory session, you may be interested in the year-long program that gives an introduction and a beginning experience of Ignatian Spirituality. In the first year, participants will be shown how to pray while contemplating the presence of God in the everyday world. Through individual and small group instruction, individuals are led through scriptural meditations, reflective conversations with a spiritual director and small group sharing.

For those who wish, Sister Catherine will offer a second year of the actual experience of The Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life through weekly meetings from September to May.

About the Spiritual Exercises

St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), developed his Spiritual Exercises to help people to deepen their relationship with Christ and to give a structure to each person’s prayer and spirituality. These Exercises consist of a set of meditations, prayers, reflections and considerations – “Exercises” – that are grounded in Scripture. The Exercises have informed the spirituality of all Jesuits, Pope Francis, Sisters of St. Joseph and countless lay women and men ever since.
