Modern Witnesses: A Lenten Retreat

Pope Francis says that “when historical situations require a strong witness, there are martyrs…. There are more witnesses, more martyrs in the Church today than there were in the first centuries.”

Following the inspiration of Pope Francis, Father Donald Breier, will reflect on the reality of martyrdom today. Both in places of conflict in our world and in the “ordinary lives” of each of us, martyrs continue to offer witness, day after day.

This Lenten program, a collaboration of the Sisters of St. Joseph Auxiliary and St. Joseph Spirituality Center, will close with liturgy and lunch. A donation is requested for lunch.
