Since 1901, the Sisters of St. Joseph have cared for the sacred land surrounding our home as an expression of sustainable living and faithful stewardship.
Today, that loving service extends to sharing 75 acres in compassionate, purposeful ways that educate, nourish, and foster belonging among our dear neighbors.
As part of our expanding vision for this land, we are working to return a large field near our community gardens, quite literally, to its roots.
We plan to do this by constructing a high tunnel—a plastic-covered hoop structure measuring approximately 30×70 feet. By protecting crops from harsh weather and keeping the soil warmer longer, the high tunnel will extend our growing season.
