Bid On a Painting of our Beloved Stations of the Cross Path

September 20, 2026 By Sisters of St. Joseph

Bring the Peace of Our Sycamore-Lined Pathway Home

Last night, we celebrated Faith. Field. Feast., our annual farm-to-table dinner held to support our Ecology ministry’s work caring for our sacred grounds and growing fresh produce for neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

New this year was the addition of an artist who was commissioned to paint a one-of-a-kind 16 x 20 painting of the “Grandmother Sycamores” that line the Stations of the Cross pathway on our Baden grounds.

If you’ve ever walked that path, you know there is a peace and unmistakable serene presence beneath the protective canopy of these magnificent trees. It’s a place of calm comfort, reflection, and welcome. It’s a place where the flutter of the tree canopy whispers, “Dear neighbor, we are glad you are here.”

That is the spirit Angie Candell, The Storybook Painter, captured in this beautiful painting, created LIVE during the event to the delight of our guests. The artwork was made possible by our friends at Universal Information Systems, Inc.

And it can be yours!

Our online auction is officially underway, giving friends near and far an opportunity to bring a little of that peace home.
